Burgess Shale TYPE Fossils

Burgess shale type fossils are generally remains of soft bodied creatures. The Burgess shale is a well known but off limits collecting area in British Columbia, Canada. However there are several exposures of this type of fauna in Utah and Nevada. With this type of preservation soft tissues are normally preserved showing details not before seen. Even bacteria and algae can be found preserved along with many other soft tissues. This is really a unique fossil type that is normally not available to the fossil collector. These come from one source from one of our Paleo Partners.
