This trilobite is a museum quality Olenellus Trilobite. This is a great fossil that exhibits superb detail because it is very inflated. Please look closely at the exquisite detail.

Here is a quite rare and very desirable trilobite from the Cambrian Period, the “Age of Trilobites.”  They lived, thrived, and became extinct Millions of years before the age of dinosaurs!  Trilobites spanned a time that  covered 5 periods spanning over 300 million years of Earth’s history. This was found and prepared by trilobite expert Markus Marin. Because of his vast knowledge and skill this + and – Nephronellus genticulatus Trilobite is prepared beautifully.

Markus is known world over because of his knowledge of these fossils. He has been digging trilobites and other fossils around the country and the world. Because of some of his finds were so special, he has published many papers on the subject of trilobites.

This + and – Nephronellus genticulatus Trilobite is one of the most  rare and recognizable trilobites.  Here is a very nice trilobite from the Cambrian Period, the “Age of Trilobites.”  They lived, thrived, and became extinct MILLIONS of years before the age of dinosaurs!

Olenellus, genus of trilobites common in, but restricted to, Cambrian rocks and thus a useful guide fossil for the Early Cambrian. Olenellus had a well-developed head, large and crescent like eyes, and a poorly developed, small tail.
