Baby Alaska Mammoth Tooth from a Baby 3 inches high x 2 inches wide

Excellent preservation of this Ice Age animal tooth.

Here is an excellent Baby Alaska Mammoth Tooth found in Alaska. Because of the melting glaciers and melting permafrost they can now be found. This tooth shows great enamel and is 4 inches tall. The tooth is 2 1/2 inches wide also.

These animals were alive until around 12,000 years ago when they finally vanished. Some people believe it was due to over hunting of the animals. Mammoths were close relatives of the elephants today so they appear very similar. Elephants have tusks but the Mammoth Tusks were longer and more curved. The Baby Alaska Mammoth Tooth from a baby looks much the same as modern elephants. Their size was also relatively similar. They ate the grasses of the tundra and were believed to be migratory. Because they moved around quite a bit they can be found in various parts of Alaska and Russia.

Some remains have also been found at the bottom of the North Sea and Baltic. Because during the Ice Age, sea levels were much lower the Baltic and North Sea were dry land. The Alaska Mammoth Tooth from a baby Mammoth is a great display piece and comes on this custom wood stand.

This Baby Alaska Mammoth Tooth from a baby Mammoth mammoth tooth was recently found and prepared. It sits on a small metal rod attached to a very nice wooded base. The wooden base has been stained and the tooth has been preserved and sealed with special liquids used to preserve fossils.
