This piece was collected and cleaned by myself from the Famous Ordovician beds of New York.
This is a Cephalopod – section from the area of central New York. This is a great fossil that exhibits detail and it consists of the proximal end.
Here is a very desirable Beecher’s Bed Fossil Cephalopod from the Ordovician Period. These animals lived, thrived, and became extinct Millions of years before the age of dinosaurs! This was found in central New York where Beecher discovered many wonderful fossils.
Markus is known world over because of his knowledge of fossils. Because he has been digging in the deposits of New York for many years and has a vast knowledge of these fossils. This one also has a head section of an Eldredgeops trilobite. But it is very small and only a head section.
This Beecher’s Bed Fossil Cephalopod, an animal related to modern day Octopus and squid.
This is small but the detail is outstanding. The Cephalopod is 1 5/8 inch on a piece of black matrix.
Here is a quite rare and very desirable fossil from the Ordovician Period. They lived, thrived, and became extinct MILLIONS of years before the age of dinosaurs!
