Double Species Kemmerer Fossil Fish, KNIGHTIA alta and eocaena

Very Detailed KNIGHTIA alta  and KNIGHTIA eocaena from the famous Kemmerer Fossil Beds.
These are natural as found NO COLOR ADDED. They have been prepared using air abrasive technology allowing for the exquisite detail of the bones and even scales.

The area around Kemmerer is well known for the fossil fish coming from there. The fish are normally fully articulated and have be immaculately preserved. The original lake was over 900 square miles but only several Buttes are still producing such wonderful specimens.

The KNIGHTIA alta, the larger fish is 4 1/8 inch long and the KNIGHTIA eocaena is 2 1/8 and just missing the tip of his tail.
They sit on a cream colored matrix, a roughly rectangular matrix 4 3/4 inches x 6 3/4  inches.
