This trilobite is a museum quality Early Trilobite Fallotaspis species. These trilobites are very rare. This is a great trilobite that exhibits superb detail because it is very thick. Please look closely at the exquisite detail.
Early Trilobite Fallotaspis. Here is a quite rare and very desirable trilobite from the Cambrian Period, the “Age of Trilobites.” They lived, thrived, and became extinct Millions of years before the age of dinosaurs! Trilobites spanned a time that covered 5 periods spanning over 300 million years of Earth’s history. This was found and prepared by trilobite expert Markus Marin. Because of his vast knowledge and skill this Early Trilobite Fallotaspis is prepared beautifully.
Markus is known world over because of his knowledge of these fossils. And he has been digging trilobites and other fossils around the country and the world. Because of some of his finds were so special, he has published many papers on the subject of trilobites. This one was found in the Campito Formation of Esmarelda County, Nevada. So this piece may become the showpiece of anyones collection.
The trilobite is 3/4 Inches long on a piece of matrix 2 by 2 3/4 inches. It is thick and detailed beautifully.
