This trilobite is from the famous “Red Beds” of the Wheeler Shale Formation in Millard County Utah. This trilobite demonstrates the fossilization that renders the “red” color.

The preparation lands this specimen in the top percentages of preservation and preparation. It exhibits exquisite detail and color set on a light gray matrix. This cluster has been meticulously prepared to expose many segments and 2 exeptionally preserved ELRATHIA trilobites.

This has been meticulously prepared using air abrasive technology and is as near to perfect as possible. It was prepared by one of the country’s best preparators and trilobite collectors.

The larger ELRATHIA  is 2.2 cm. There is a second full ELRATHIA and an impression of an ASAPHISCUS.

The matrix is irregularly shaped 99 cm by 9 cm.
