These trilobites are from the famous “Red Beds” of the Wheeler Shale Formation in Millard County Utah. These trilobites demonstrate the fossilization that renders the “red” color.

The preparation lands this specimen in the top percentages of preservation and preparation. It exhibits exquisite detail and color set on a light gray matrix. Beautiful preparation. The trilobite on top is prone while the one directly underneath is ventral. Another trilobite is further down in the matrix.

This has been meticulously prepared using air abrasive technology. It was prepared by one of the country’s best preparators and trilobite collectors.

The larger ELRATHIA  is 1.5 cm.

The matrix is irregularly shaped 9.5 cm by 6 cm.
