This is an example of an extinct Fossil Sumac Leaf from the Eocene Period. This one displays exceptional detail right down to the stem.

This 3 inch dark Fossil leaf from a tree that grew in the area of Wyoming approximately 50 million years ago. The leaf shows exceptional detail and the central vein is very prominent.

Because of type of rock and the preservation nearly all the fossils from this location have great detail.
