EXCEPTIONAL PREP Here is a real beauty. A fully inflated and very 3-dimensional FLEXICALYMENE from MT. Orab, Ohio near Cincinnati. What is so special about this one is that while prepping a second was discovered in the curl of the first. WOW BONUS.

A classic trilobite from the famous Ordovician Deposits of Southern Ohio. This is the most common trilobite species to be found whole in Cincinnati. They are most often found enrolled (in a ball) but are sometimes found fully or partially stretched out.

An Iconic trilobite that is well known in the trilobite community. These “bugs” are in spectacular condition with thick exoskeletons enabling such great preservation.

Here is a great example of the trilobites coming from this classic and well known site. The FLEXICALYMENE trilobites from Southern Ohio and Indiana as well as into Kentucky exhibit outstanding detail. They normally are preserved with a rich brownish color on a dark gray or gray matrix. Many from this site are also preserved with outstanding inflated carapaces that make these trilobites very showy.

The trilobite itself is 1 inch straight line without the curl. The second, completely enrolled is 5/8 wide.

A classic trilobite from a classic site.
