Very Detailed DIPLOMYSTUS  from the famous Kemmerer Fossil Beds.

The area around Kemmerer is well known for the fossil fish coming from there. The fish are normally fully articulated and have be immaculately preserved. The original lake was over 900 square miles but only several Buttes are still producing such wonderful specimens.

This fish is a 2 1/2 inch long DIPLOMYSTUS dentatus and is on an irregular cream colored matrix measuring 5 inches x 4 inches.
