Description
Olenellus, genus of trilobites common but restricted to Cambrian rocks and thus a useful guide fossil for the Early Cambrian. This fossil had a well-developed head, large and crescent like eyes, and a poorly developed small tail.
This is a quality fossil. This is a great trilobite that exhibits superb detail because it is very inflated. Please look closely at the exquisite detail.
Here is a quite rare and very desirable trilobite from the Cambrian Period, the “Age of Trilobites.” They lived, thrived, and became extinct Millions of years before the age of dinosaurs! Trilobites spanned a time that covered 5 periods spanning over 300 million years of Earth’s history. This was found in Pennsylvania in rock that has deformed the trilobite slightly. Because of this fact the Pennsylvania Olenellus Trilobite is slightly out of shape as is common here.
Pennsylvania Olenellus Trilobite is one of the most rare and recognizable trilobites. Here is a very nice trilobite from the Cambrian Period, the “Age of Trilobites.” They lived, thrived, and became extinct MILLIONS of years before the age of dinosaurs!

This great piece is a must have for all fossil lovers. With the rock measuring 6 1/2 inches by 3 inches, this Olenellus Fowleri Trilobite Trilobite measures 1 inch and exhibits great detail in the main body and head.

This specimen is in matrix measuring 3.31 inches by 2.21 inches and is only .89 of an inch thick. This partial trilobite measures 2.20 inches by 1.30 inches. This is a beautiful trilobite and a great piece to add to any rock collection.
