It is the result of a tree or tree-like plants having completely transitioned to stone by the process of permineralization.
This specimen has wonderful shades of sienna, umber and brown colors.

This specimen is irregularly shaped. There is brown felt on two sides to protect your table or desk and the books that they are holding.
The bookends measure 8 1/2 long overall, by 2 inches wide and 4 1/2 inches tall.
