Description
Here is quite a rarity. This is a “spotted” ELDREDGEOPS rana from New York that displays some spots on the exoskeleton that have been interpreted as “camouflage” patterns.
Most Eldredgeops from New York are preserved as a black and ones from Northern Ohio are brown color. Rare to see this.
This specimen is 2 cm wide and is enrolled with the pygidium visible. It is a great example of this trilobite.
