This is a spectacular full color poster of some of the most famous of the Barrandian Trilobites of the Czech Republic.
The poster of Selected Wenlockian Trilobites is 17 3/4 wide by 25 inches high.
The Wenlock Period, sometimes called the Wenlockian was the second Epoch of the Silurian. Many of these trilobites are found in the Czech republic but their close cousins are found elsewhere too. The Silurian Period was a period when much of the earth’s surface was under water. Because of that fact, the ancient seas were teeming with life. Parts of the United States and Europe were close to the equator. Because of the constant movement of earth plates landmasses have changed their positions. So now those land masses are far away from the equator. Because of erosion many fossil beds have been exposed and some of these Selected Wenlockian Trilobites may be found.
