Found in the area of Delta, Utah in the Wheeler Formation
Trilobites like these Triple Elrathia Trilobites were a very diverse group of extinct marine arthropods that first appeared in the Cambrian period and went extinct during the Permian period. They were one of the most successful of the early animals on our planet, with over 25,000 described species. Trilobites left an excellent, well-preserved fossil record. We have dozens of species of trilobites for sale from the US and other countries.
Here is a quite rare and very desirable trilobite from the Cambrian Period, the “Age of Trilobites.” They lived, thrived, and became extinct Millions of years before the age of dinosaurs! Trilobites spanned a time that covered 5 periods spanning over 300 million years of Earth’s history. This animal is prepared beautifully utilizing air abrasive technology unlocking great detail.
Fossils from this area are very well preserved. Because the area of Millard County was once a shallow salt water sea, we can find trilobites.
This Fossil triple Elrathia Trilobites are beauties. With the irregular rock measuring 3 1/4 inches by 3 1/2 inches, these detailed trilobites exhibit great natural contrast to the matrix making these bugs stand out. They are from the famous Red beds of utah.
