Description
This is a Green River Knightia Triple Fossil Fish plate. And this one is double sided with one on one side and two on the other. They are 4 inches, 3 1/4 and 3 inches long from the famous Wyoming Beds. Bones are clearly visible in exceptional detail on two of them, one is a negative only.
It is preserved on a roughly rectangular matrix 11 inches by 7 1/2 inches. Specimen in the picture is the specimen you will receive.
This Green River Knightia Triple Fossil Fish Plate and is are extinct genus of bony fish that lived in the Eocene epoch. This one is preserved in spectacular detail. It would make a nice desk topper or cabinet piece.
